The new event concept will cover Timisoara in a fairytale atmosphere and will bring here major personalities from the economical,
cultural and diplomatic area, as well on local and national level, as also from abroad.
The inaugural edition of the Timisoara Viennese Ball includes also some charity events, aiming to promote some exceptional
young people from Timisoara, the fundamental criterion being the international recognition of their educational, sportive
or cultural performances. All the incomes from this event will be directed to the Foundation Viennese Ball from Timisoara
city, by the Foundation United Way Timisoara.
On the other hand, in our schools began a pre-selection of the debutants, young people who would like to participate to this unique
event in a dance moment.
The host of the inaugural edition of the Timisoara Viennese Ball was the Ball hall of the Baroque Palace from Unirii Square,
which, for the first time in the past 100 years, unveils its joy to be bathed in the rhythms of waltz and its enthusiasm for
the restoring of a tradition speaking of harmony, honor and prosperity. The location chosen for the ball, the “Baroque Hall”
was frequently visited by composers, as Franz Liszt and Johannes Brahms.
The main organizer of the event was and still is Mrs. Ioana Hategan, attorney at law and founding member of the Foundation Viennese
Ball from Timisoara, together with the Timisoara Art Museum.
The season of the Viennese balls starts November 11, at 11:11 o´clock and ends 40 days before Eastern.
Franz Joseph the Ist complied only 1877 to the urges of the artistic circles from Vienna, allowing the organizing of an initially so-called
“Opern Soiree” in the new building of the Imperial and Royal Opera House, situated on the Vienna Ring, but this had to take place according
to the imposed rigor, without dancing! The argument which convinced the rigorous Austro-Hungarian monarch to grant his consent to the
organizing of a musical celebration was even the tremendous success scored by the master Johann Strauss at the Paris Opera Ball.
Presided by the Chairman of Austria, the Vienna Opera Ball is nowadays a first rank worldwide event, awaited each year with the same
excitement as also the Vienna New Year Concert.
MMC sustained this project, in 2012 at his first edition. We offered pro-bono consultancy in marketing and PR services, created the
rate-card and connections by our own network platform, raised the notoriousness of the event by the marketing and PR campaign al local
level, administering also the relationship with the press.
